A new phase of life had just begun!

I got placed. I got a job right after the college and it's time to celebrate. 

 

After a long day of continues interviews and long waiting hours, I finally cleared them all and by the end of that day, the offer letter in hand made me forget all that wait. That feeling was such an incredible one. 

I was excited to surprise my family and hence didn't want to give a call right away. It was late night at 10, I took a bus to home and couldn't wait until I reached. With a lot of enthusiasm, I reached home, bloated out the news. My mom amongst everyone was the first one who felt extremely emotional (I guess she was so under confident about the whole thing :p). My sisters, my dad all of them felt extremely happy. It was a moment of joy! 

It was a multi national company and I was 21 years old. Two months later, I happen to visit the office for some paper work and other formalities. I was escorted to the office campus which was this humungous glass ceiled building. I was so amazed, it was no less than a monument. I have been told to wait at the lobby until my name was called. I couldn't stop observing people around, there were walk-ins, the recruitment team, HR team, sheets all around arranged in fair. The fall of sunbeam into the building,  highly elegant and sophisticated interiors and then comes a person to guide me in, I've been allotted a companies reg. no and an ID card. There was this pre hire orientation session which was almost for an hour. The session covered everything a new employee must know about the company, trainings to attend, code of conduct, and many more. 

I believe if it's the effect of movies or I'm not sure what, it was very surreal that I suddenly turned very aspirational to settle down in that environment, work, learn and grow. I was more excited about the desk that they said I will be working from. My own cubicle, I was already imagining how do I deck up the space.

I couldn't stop dreaming about it. More to come. That's it for now.
