Change the integrity! Swipe off your daily attic

I don’t know about you, but every summer my brain screams “School’s out!”  And I haven’t been in school for an awfully long time. There’s just something about summer that gives us permission to be a little lazy, take a little trip and try some new activities

It’s time to clean out the attic.  Change the channel.  Turn the record over - or better yet,change the damn record. 

Life has become stagnant of late.  I find myself making the same lists, worrying the same worries, repeating the same patterns, thinking the same thoughts.  I’ve been stumbling around for awhile now, waiting for a train that never came, polishing illusions, and digging myself deeper and deeper into a rut.  I only get this one life to live in, and it’s like I’ve carved out one corner that feels safe and I’m ignoring the rest.  Time to get out of the corner and go exploring.

Don’t worry, I’ve done this before, so many times.  It just takes a lot of long walks, writing, sleeping, and brutal honesty.  It takes trying new things and meeting new people and eating well and acting a little out of character to see how it feels.  It takes emptying out the box of priorities and reorganizing it.  It takes letting go.  It takes paying attention.  It takes time. 

So that’s what I’ll be doing for awhile.
